No way, it's bad luck to inform anyone you have a new job, keep it to yourself. You nor does anyone where you currently work have loyalty anyway. Everyone's out to cover themselves and you know it.

you should always give your former employee a 2 weeks notice. Oh and if you mean it is a temp job as in you went to a temp agency then if you quit with no notice they might not help you to get hired again.

It wouldn’t hurt to let the new employer know you have a temp job (just in case they want you to start right away.) If they want you bad enough they will wait the 2 weeks.

If you know for sure that the new job is what you want then of course you should let your present employer know. Maybe then if the new one doesn't work out the door would be open for you to go back to your old job. They would appreciate your honesty. Good luck with the new job!

No, if your plans are not official don't tell them. They will refrain from giving you raises and whatnot. Businesses look down on people w/ temporary jobs.

Yes, even though it's a temp job you need to let them know that you wont be coming back.

Never burn bridges, you may never know when you will need it again. Networking is a great thing to improve a career, no matter how medial you think the contact is.

Not use too many cliches, but as it goes:
It's not what you know, it's who you know.

ABSOLUTELY.
give a two week notice, but maybe you can shorten that to a one week or so.

you want good references and you would want to be able to put them on your resume.
and you never know, if this job doesnt work out you might have to go back.
