If its so bad you may want to go out and get a prescription to help clear it out. For mild cases you need simply a face soap of any of the brands out there and use it twice a day, followed by a toner, followed by a medicated cream. Its those three items used together after many days that helps. If you're worried about the oilyness just keep kleenex or something with you and blot your face during the day -the faster you get it off your skin the less likely that it will sit and cause more pimples.

Proactive is a good option. Keep an eye out for dryness. If that happens, then take a break from it. You want to avoid dryness of the skin becuase that will aggitate the skin and inhibit break outs too. It's okay to use acne cream to dry the pimples, but be careful of the usage. If you get flakey irritating dryness, then you need to stop using it for a while.
Keep your hands off your face as much as possible! Drink plenty of water...you should anyway.
Wash your face with warm water and soap twice a day. When you dry your face, don't rub it, but blott it with a towel. Don't use wash cloth when washing face. Use your hands and gently wash your face...but first wash your hands. Any vigorous rubbing or scrubbing of your face is not good for your complexion...and will promote more possible break outs.
Eucerin has a facial moisurizer that has a SPF of 30. It's not too expensive, and you can get it at your local store.
Try not to pick the white heads. I know they are ugly, but you can create further infection, and then possible scarring. wait for them to pop open. If that is NOT an option for you, then you could do it by using a Q-tip and a sterile needle to do so. Squeeze gently, but have rubbing alcholol on had to dab that area. But I suggest you don't even do that...you are risking scarring. You can also spread the bacteria from the puss/blood to other pores and that could create further breakouts.
There's a lot of trial and error, and everyone is uique. Keep your skin clean, avoid dryness of the skin. Keep hands away, and teach others not to touch your face either. For the most part it's hormones, but this will help with relief...how much depends on the individual. Good luck.

Everyone's skin reacts differently to different treatment. Ivory soap is very good for washing away oil and doesn't have all the added ingredients that can cause problems. Your best bet is to experiment and see what works for you. You should wash in morning and at night for sure and the tanning lotion will make your skin even more oily and it won't really make you look healthier. It's a good idea to just keep the make-up and stuff to a minimum.

Try Strydex pads in the green labeled jar. I use them every other day and even pimples I can feel starting to develop just disappear! Do you eat a lot of sweets or fried foods? Those can cause blemishes too. Refrain form eating them as much as possible for more clear skin. Stop using the tanning lotion for a while and start again once you've got the other problem under control.
Have a great day!!!

Proactive and all of these products doesn't work well with certain different types of skin. I suggest you go talk to a dermatologists. They'll definitely help you out. I heard there is a pills and shots that help prevents pimples/acnes/etc. Laser surgery is always good but I highly recommend that you see a dermatologists.

Have your parental unit find an Avon lady. The Clearskin line works very well. I'm 29 and still use it.
4 products to try - the weekly Invigorating Scrub, the dual-action anti-bacterial cleanser, the Purifying astringent. All are from the ClearSkin line. Then - you've got to moisturize. True-Porefection Skin-Clearing moisturizer. I've never used this; I usually use the Moisture 24 cream on my face. It absorbs quickly.

I would first try using a good bacteria reducing soap like Safeguard. After a couple of days if you don't see a little improvement, try using Clearasil but use the "Adult Care" cream not the other one. The Adult Care version has Sulfer in it and some pimples respond better to sulfer than to the other stuff. See a dermatologist if nothing works. Good luck. (Eat well avoid a lot of sugar too)

This may sound weird, but when I was a teen I had bad acne as well. The best thing to do is not use ANY soap, or ANY product to wash your face AT ALL.
First, wash your hands clean with soap and rinse them. Then throw pure water on your face and scrub with a clean wash cloth (wet with hot water).
As I said, this may sound weird, but trust me - It works. Give it 1 week and you will see your acne going away.
Why do pharmesuedical companies sell thousands of products for acne? Because they work? - No. Because they make money from desparate people.

ok, when you have a lot of pimples, its called acne. i use mary kay's formula 3 line, and i love it. There is a deep cleanser, a blemish-control toner, and an oil-absorbing moisturizer. There is also a clay-based mask than you can use once or twice a week, and it dries up the pimples. when i started using mary kay, i noticed an improvement in a few days.
