dogs mouths are not cleaner than any other animals, and though its true that they have special enzymes that help them fight foreign bacteria/ and break down food components- they also have harmful bacterias that can lead to infections. The myth about dogs having cleaner mouths only came around due to unlawful experiments conducted w/ out the use of the scientific method- therefore comptenplating false conclusions- An ex. being that dogs have cleaner mouths due to an antiseptic located in there saliva, allowing them to lick clean their wounds w/ out a high risk of infection. while , us humans are denied that capability, infact we have a very high risk of infection from our saliva touching our wounds.
This is because ours immunity levels to certain bacterias of our mouths differ from immunity levels in other body parts. The conclusion now to this question is simply that both humans& dogs have highly bacteria filled mouths, (& not all bacterias make mouths dirty) and the dirtiness of both when compared correctly are about even. Both species have diff. bacterias located in their mouths, and contain diff. immunity's levels to each, dogs just happen to have more advanced- sophisticated bacterias!( probably due to the fact that their like toddlers, and will put N-E thing in their mouthes)

In a way yes, and in a way, no. Humans have bacteria on their tongue always for some reason (I forgot), and it's in large amounts. If you stick out your tongue and look at it, you see those circles all on it? That's bacteria! Dogs, on the other hand, don't have the bacteria. So yes, it is cleaner than ours because there tongue is covered by a layer of bacteria like ours is. BUT, our bacteria isn't harmful bacteria (obviously) and dogs eat gross things. Dogs eat trash, eat their poop, pick up nasty things off the street, etc. When they do that, because they don't have bacteria on their tongue to break it down, it stays there for awhile, making their mouth extremely dirty! So in a way it is cleaner, but with what they get themselves into, it most surely isn't!

Cleaner than some human mouths no doubt! No, the average dog's mouth is not cleaner (bacteria free) than that of the average person. Common sense will tell you that the exact opposite situation is true. You don't believe everything you hear do you?

No. Obviously their mouths go alot of places that ours don't. It's an urban legend. The truth is that the majority of bacteria that can affect a dog's health and breath are usually pretty harmless to humans. Pathogenic species to humans are found in other humans or other souces that humans come in contact with. that can exploit our bodies. Pathogenic dog strains are on dogs because that's were they thrive and not on humans because somewhere down the line we became unaffected by them. So yes an infected human may make you more sick than a dog but it is the species of bacteria not the number that is harmful.

No I am not sure what or rather where you got that from because there's no way that any mouth is clean but, I think what it is, is that a Dog's saliva helps to make it heal faster, well, the human mouth is not like that at all.
See when a dog have a cut or something and it licks that wound it actually helps that wound to heal faster, sort ta like when we use antibiotics on our wounds, a dog can not go to the doctor without us but, they need to be able to heal themselves...................Or something like that............................

Their saliva has lots of antibacterial agents. They have less bacteria on their teeth also. So, yes, so to speak, their mounths are cleaner than ours. Human mouth is second "dirtiest" after monkey's.

Thats an urban legend that is 100% false. If you consider it for a second, its pretty obvious that it can't be true. Dogs lick their own genitals, eat feces and animal carcasses, and have no method by which they can clean their own mouths (i.e. tooth brushing.) Its a popular myth, but a myth nevertheless!

Yes, like it or not, they do. Monkeys are second to humans in having a "dirty" mouth.
