A headache that lasts longer than three days requires a visit to the DR. It's probably nothing, but it's best to get it checked out. Hope you feel better soon.

When over the counter meds don't take care of the headache then that means it is something that needs to be checked out by a doc. It may be nothing more than a migraine but regardless call the doc now and get in or go to an urgent care center for a diagnosis and some relief from the pain. You sound like you might be a minor and if you are tell your mother that the information I just gave you is from a nurse. Headaches that do not go away with over the counter medicine and/or sleep need to be diagnosed and treated by a doctor.

How bad is it? Is it so bad that you can't even get out of bed? I had a bad sinus headache which took 5 days to get rid of. I couldn't eat because I felt like I was going to puke and had zero energy. Does this fit your description.

Perhaps you can have your mom take you to see a chiropractor.. they see these types of symptoms every day... and get results without meds. My mom took me to see one when I was in high school.. got a football injury to my neck... couldn't swallow for 4 days. but did swallow as soon as I got off the his work table.

if you are under 18, encourage your mother to take you to the doctor. if you are over 18, see your physician right away. any longterm headache needs attention.
