I don't know. I always saw it as symbolic cannibalism myself.

You will have hit a nerve.
Because of the teachings of the church, many accused Christians of being cannibals.
But now you'll have debate between Catholics and Protestants.
Catholics believe that through a miracle performed during the Mass, the yeast-less wafer has become the Body of Christ.
Protestants, however, believe the wafer (often broken matzos) are symbolic of Christ's Body.

If you read Scripture, you will find that Christ did, in fact, mean eating his flesh and drinking his blood. He stated 4 times in one section that unless you eat of his flesh and drink of his blood "you will have no life in you" The people he was speaking to were repulsed and left. The apostles were even questioning him on this matter. But he insisted it was true. Even on the night of the Last Supper, he transfigured the bread and wine to his body and blood.
We are not eating human flesh and drinking human blood for pleasure or physical sustinence. It's sustinence for our soul. It is the body and blood. We are not cannibals, we are christians. If it was symbolic, he would have said, this represents my body and blood, not is my body and blood.

You are not as clever as you think. People were accusing Christians of this way back in Paul's days.
And no, because we eat a SYMBOL of Christ's body.

Just because your agnostic doesn't mean you can be racist towards religion. Why don't you stop being ignorant and actually read what you claiming to know, sence you know your better and all. Enlighten me to all your infinite wisdom, I can tell it's something that would truly lift my spirits to a place where I am no longer ignorant of the injustice of prejudgements, that you can say one sentence to cleanse my mind of all this worlds confusion, that you can get your head out of your anal cavities so you can better read and speak the word of all agnosticism without the taint of bullshit on your own breath.

No. Cannibalism is eating the flesh of dead people. Jesus is alive. Also, the Eucharist is under the form of bread and wine.
