My five year old niece has urinated in her bed. How do I clean that up?

As of right now I took soap and water, then took fabreeze to it. Let it air dry and then flipped the mattress over.

What else can I do? Will there be any bugs or anything?

My son is 4 and he sometimes has accidents. My routine is usually I spray this product that is for urine, feces, blood and other bodily fluids that I got from Wal-Mart. It disinfects and also takes the smell out. It is for pets and human "accidents". Then I spray with Lysol. I also use a towel to soak up any excess then I let the rest air dry. I then use Febreze after it is dry but I don't use a lot becaue I don't want it to become soaked again. I recently also bought a waterproof mattress cover. Hope that helps.

Sounds like you've got it covered. You may wish to re-clean if the smell and/or a stain remains. Use a disinfectant for the former. Consider a special sheet if this incident is likely to reoccur and try not to make a big deal about it as it's very common.

you might get some of the pet urine products, they work on human urine as well. I would also suggest a plastic casing for the mattress to protect it in future.

If you got it quickly it wont stain...just dont let it dry into the bed. If she is going to be sleeping there often buy a matress pad for under her sheets its cheap good insurance to save the matress.
