Yes, it most definately could. One bad experience can change a person forever. It all depends on how it's dealt with as well. The mind is not as easily fixed as the body. The important thing to remember is that not everybody is the same. People's personalities can be affected by other people's actions, therefore it can change your attitiude to life

I think changes like the death of a parent when you are quite young makes you understand that life is not infinite and how fast it can pass by.
It makes you also think of the miracles of where we come from and where we will go.
And third of all you recognize over the years what you have learned from that person that left you.
And these three things make your attitude change a lot, especially when you are young, you grow up in "one day".
You might also change your point of view on how to live life, how to value friendship, how to value other people. What you lose in that certain situation is the sometimes really enjoyable shallowness of life.

Definitely. It's been proven that men who were molested are twice as likely to do molesting. And if you've been in a trauma situation and survived, you tend to value life more and are kinder to others, OR you go the other way and live every day very selfishly like it might be your last. Emotionally hurtful experiences in relationships make some people shy away from any more close relationships. Lots of examples.

I have had quite a horrendous life, but it has made me more tolerant of people,as everyone is not strong enough to come through or cope with certain things,so I judge people on how they treat me and if it is badly then I disassociate myself from them.I now know to only be with people I am comfortable with. You have to say to yourself, that you only treat people, the way you would expect to be treated yourself. Some people only get pleasure from hurting others, but you have to rise above that, because that makes you a better person than them in the long run.

Definitely. I was involved in a horrendous relationship with a lying, deceitful man about 12 years ago - I said at the time that I would never be able to trust anyone again. And I never have.
They say that life is what you make it - I think that's nonsense. Life is very often what other people make it.

I think its called Life Experience,If you dont learn from your experiences, good and bad,..why bother? You want to share good, but the hurtfull bad ones put you on your guard, and must affect how you deal with the situation,as apposed to the person, you cant give the same advice to two different people, simply because, they are two different people!..As for changing your life in general,a big fat yes!!.

It's bound to - we are all shaped by the experiences we have in life - that's why we are different people at 40 than we were at 20 - you become a bit more cynical with each passing year.

Yes, I think it definitely can and does often. When I"m emotionally upset I act differently, more quiet and less happy and it does have an affect on life and the people in it.

YES, but it is up to you to get over it and decide wether you want to feel that way forever or change and enjoy what's left of your life. Situations shouldn't control you since we are the ones that make them happen.
