Your weight is attributed to the energy you intake, that means food, and the energy is measured in calories.
You burn calories standing still and breathing, and more if you run around like a monkey.
Reducing caloric intake and increasing activity will reduce your weight. Not reducing caloric intake and sitting in the sun inactively will shed some calories, but not likely a noticable amount of weight will be shed.
The noticable amount of weight loss from sweating in the sun will be do to loss of water. Extremely unhealthy! Not to mention the high risk of heat exhaustion from what you are suggesting.
Don't you remember what happened to Martin Lawrence in the plastic wrap?!?!?!

You may lose some water weight, yes, but you almost might dehydrate yourself as well as cause any other number of potential problems.
To lose weight make small, gradual changes and over time, they will have an
extremely powerful effect on you.
Check out http://www.ObesityKills.iConfessional.com . The guy there is an ex-Marine, like myself, and he's putting together a program for himself in his blog that will get him back into shape. It will work for pretty much anyone and he's doing it all publically.
He's not selling anything, just sharing what he's doing as he does
it. He's hoping for encouragement and motivation from his readers.
Hope that helps.

The amount of wieght (water) would be replaced by the first glass of water you drink. You would be better off going for a brisk walk at least 30 min in the hot sun. Sweat more and burn some fat (the real weight).

Only a tiny bit form moisture loss, but in the process you will dehydrate yourself and perhaps have heatstroke. Not a good plan. If that worked don;t you think others would be doing it.
