You sound just like me!
Peppers are very good for your heart, lungs, tear ducts, and help prevent ulcers. Did you know that a slice of jalapeno has more Vitamin C than an orange?
Subway employees are only allowed to put something like 6 pieces of whatever item you request, but sometimes I can get them to put a handful or two of jalapenos on my sandwich!
I love jalapeno poppers, too - but they're gettin' too expensive. I think I'll 'surf' and see if I kind find the recipe out there somewhere.
(Hint: If you want to bring out the heat of your chili, pour a little vinegar in the pot.)
Hey - look what I found! I had to come back and share this with you:

Yes, they ARE good for you! The capsaicin - that's the hot stuff in peppers - is very beneficial; it increases blood flow to the skin (that's why so many people turn red from eating them). it causes the brain to release endorphins, those lovely little natural pain-killers that chili-heads like me are addicted to, and it can actually ease an asthma attack by reducing the inflammation and making breathing a bit easier. The milder chilies and fleshy peppers like bells and pimentos are also excellent sources of vitamin C. Can't say much about black pepper; its made from the dried berries of a vine. Sure tastes good on a baked potato, though!

For a real feel good chilli treat - ground chilli made up in hot chocolate (with or without whipped cream) and a sprinkling of ground chilli or cayenne pepper on top. Ooooh Yeah!
They are meant to be very good for you! Hope so cause I am a spice freak.

There is some benefit to them. They contain a compound called capsaicin which is used in some pain reliever creams. Capsaicin has been associated with many cures that include lowering blood pressure, reducing cholesterol and warding off strokes and heart attacks, speeding up metabolism, treating colds and fevers, preventing cancer and pain control. Capsaicin is a flavorless, odorless chemical concentrated in the veins of chiles and peppers.

not really, unless you've had ulcers or IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). If you're accustomed to eating chiles, try to take out the seeds before consuming. Eating the seeds may result in appendicitis. :)
psychologically, people who enjoy spicy food have a more extroverted personality.
btw, any sites that sell chile seeds online?

For the most part they are good for you as long as you can handle the heat, on the other side the seeds of chiles are bad for you in the long run because they get stucked in your appendix and it could be harmfull to you, to the point of having surgery done to you. Think about it

Absolutely not, First, they burn out the thin lining of your stomach ,thus preventing ulcers. And if you look up any of the new diets, they show that chili's and peppers speed up the metabolism. They will not hurt you so enjoy...

Actually think they are quite good for you, although hot foods are apparently addictive - my husband is just like you. Don't think you are doing yourself any harm as long as you are also eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.

You probably won't suffer from intestinal parasites or worms! By keeping your gut filled with spicy contents you are making it very hostile to parasites.
