I'm the bbq queen, so listen to me... first you get a pot of water and put some johnny's seasoning salt in to taste. Boil your ribs until they are fully cooked or almost there. Now take them to the grill and you can do it on a higher heat since they are already cooked. Put some bbq sauce on them and put the lid on the grill. Let one side sit for about 3 min. then turn and bbq the other side. 3 more min and turn them again and put more sauce. Do this about 3 times and make sure you cook the sauce on so that it is not runny because sauce tastes sooo much better when it is fully cooked. So, your ribs should turn out nice and sticky and DELICIOUS!! Good luck!

Never ever boil the ribs, I don't care what anyone says. The best way to do them right is on a grill, heck you can even use a gas grill with some mesquite chips. Cook them long and slow, away from the fire. When you notice that they are cooked through, wrap them in foil. I know your belly withh grumble and your mouth will water but resist! Cook them in the foil for another hour or so. When you open the foil...man o man! They will be falling off the bone and ohh so juicy!

Put a pork rub on them first, you can purchase this in any super market. Wrap them twice in foil. Place them in a pan and cook in oven for 1-2 hours, they will get very tender. After they cooked for this length of time, fire up the grill. Remove the foil and place them on a hot grill, put barbecue sauce on them. Make sure you put it on the other side too after turning. The grilling should just be for the browning of the ribs and flavoring with your choice of sauce. Grill for about 25-30 minutes, watching carefully not to burn them. When the time is up, you should have ribs that fall off the bone and taste fabulous.

The best ribs are always cooked slowly at low temperatures, regardless of wet or dry rub method and a little smoke won't hurt.
Dry rubs can be as simple as salt and brown sugar or you can add herbs, garlic powder, chili powder, Cajun seasoning or Old Bay seasoning. If you like the wet method turn and baste every 30 minutes with your favorite barbecue sauce, but make sure you use indirect heat on the grill and try to maintain a temperature of 325 for about 2 hours.

Some people make the BBQ sauce from scratch and reccomend using a melting a whole hersheys bar in the sauce..

I boil my until they are lightly brown then I get a 12 oz. can of coke, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, a couple of shack of hot sauce, a pinch of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and last but not least a whole bottle of open pit at least 12 oz.
mix all together let the ribs soak over night if you have time or at least two hours, put them on the top shelf in your grill on low for an hour and if you want them crunchy move to bottom on high but watch them it will not take long. Oh ya while they are cooking for the hour every 15 min. turn them and put on some more sauce that you let them soak in.

This recipe takes some time, but it is awesome.
Mix 4 minced cloves, 2 tbsp olive oil, fresh cracked pepper, 2 tbsp chopped rosemary, 1 tbsp onion seasoning and salt. Rub this mixture on the outside of the ribs and then wrap the ribs in aluminum foil in 275 degrees for one to three hours (the longer you have it in there, the more the meat falls off the bone).
When you are ready add your a little bit of your favorite bbq sauce and put on a grill for about 30-45 minutes on medium heat (until the outside looks good to you).
This recipe does take some time, but is is worth it.

Here's how I do it. I dont boil them. yuck!!
The rub
2 Tsp kosher salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1tsp chile powder
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
Sauce
1tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chile powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2/3 cup catsup
1/3 cup coke a cola
2 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs cider vinegar
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp liquid smoke (i prefer mesquite hickory makes everything taste like bacon)
warm the olive oil on medium heat for 30 seconds add all the other ingredents and simmer for 5 minutes.
apply the rub at least one hour before grilling. use a fork to remove the membrane from the bottom of the ribs
30 minutes before grilling lite your charcoal in a chimmney starter. Throw ribs on the grill. cook on low heat indrect methood. (ie coals on either side of the grill) (300 degrees) add fresh charcoal everyhour. And add wet mesquite wood chips every hour. they should cook for one and a half to two hours. when the meat shrinks back from the bone about a quarter inch they are good. add bbq sauce the last 30 minutes of grilling. other wise it will burn. let stand for 10 minutes and chow down. You can expriement with the sauce and rub by adding your own ingredents. (ie honey, molasses, brown sugar, mustard.) If you want a North carolina style sauce use 2 cups cider vinegar
3 tbs catsup
2 tbs brown sugar
4 tsp coarse salt
1 tbs hot sauce
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp black pepper
oak, apple, and cherry wood chipps are great for BBQing dont use soft woods like pine. make sure you add fresh carcoal every hour. but dont just throw it on the grill cold. lite it in a starter or else the food will get an acidy taste

Defrost a can of consentraded orange juice and marinate the ribs in the fridge about 4 hours, them bake in the oven @ 350 for 1 hour then bar-b-q, Deeeeeeelicious.
This also works well with beef ribs.

Low heat and if you have a smoker its even better one with water to keep it basted... or on the grill you can put some water on the grill in a little tin can like a tuna tin can. allow oh about an hour per pound its done similar to chicken when the meat pull up from the bone or you can stab it with a knife and if blood runs out continue cooking...
Great Hope you have great time...
Hey some of that Jack Daniels Sauce is good for BBQing...
