Almonds

Every time someone says that Amaretto is made from almonds, the baby Jesus cries.

It tastes like almonds. But, as others have observed, it is made from apricot pits, which are a close botanical relative of the bitter almond.

Almonds. You can buy AMARETTO SYRUP which is nothing more than sugar water and contains artificial flavour. It can be used with gin and vodka or as flavouring for ice cream, desserts, punches, or in your hot coffee or tea. Not very expensive and tastes very good. I like it in my coffee. If you wish to find out for yourself go to googles. It's not made from an apricot pit, I don't know where these people came up with this. Please check for yourself. The second answer is from the googles site, word for word, by the way. She did not do any thesis. Does anyone know what plagiarized means?

Guys, it isn't almonds. Amaretto may taste like almonds, but it is actually made from a close relative of the almond, the apricot kernal.
