i have an old style non electronic passport and i have been told that i will need to get a visa as a result, as an italian citizen i don't require one normally, but i do as an holder of an old passport. I have a flight booked for tuesday morning but the american embassy says it won't be able to process the visa on time. anyone has any idea on how to get one faster..please

1. Since you are an Italian, living in the U.K., contact the Italian Embassy and see if they can expedite a brand new passport.
2. Check the visa wait times for other consulates/embassies in Europe. London has a wait time of 31 days, but Brussels only has a wait time of two days.
3. Who are you going to see? Have an American contact their congressman and have the congressman submit an inquiry to the Embassy in London to get you an appointment on Tuesday morning.
4. Change your flight.

you may not enter the USA with an old passport . it is the law now
not sure how to help you ? have you contacted your embassy ? three days is hardly enough for the embassy to get you a visa ,
no other way to enter the USA .can you cancel you ticket with your travel agency ? if not ? i guess you will loose your money ?
i am sorry for that ........
did you take insurance with you ticket ? if so , you may be able to get reimbursed ........
there are emergency passports ,but you needed to move fast .......
