it has been 12 hours since the alledged occurance, no effect so far

if nothing happened by now it is probably ok(this time)but the chemical make up of chocolate is toxic to a dog especially a small one
they can not break it down
do not give chocolate to a dog or leave it out where they can get to it

If I Were You I Would Call Your Vet.ASAP.. Chocolate Contains An Ingredient Called Lecithin That Can In Certain Amounts Could Be Fatal To Dogs..Seeing That You Dog I Definitely Call...If You Cant Get Your Vet Call Your Local Emergency Vet..

Chocolate can cause liver shut down on dogs, time to see the vet.

EEEK. Dogs can't have chocolate because of the caffeine. You might want to call the vet just to make sure he's ok.

i would call the vet and tell them what you just wrote here. It can kill a small dog to eat that much chocolate. Mine ate just a teeny bit and puked all over my bed.

My mom has a mini poodle and he has ate alot od candy bars in the past. It may make hime sick, but he will be fine.

even a small amount of chocolate can KILL a dog--be careful with your pet and get 'em to the vet ASAP!
