I'm likeing the answers, so I want to know one last time, do you know people like this?
Once in school a girl told me; "Pokemon is satanic, because if you turn the P into a D and put it behind the K it says OK Demon!"
(Which technically makes Christmas satanic, cause Santa Clause is an anagram for SATAN Clause)
I grew up in a very conservative Protestant Christian community, and people believed all kinds of weird things like this, like that wearing black lipstick or nail varnish meant you're a devil worshipper.
Who else has experianced people like this and what is the weirdest thing you have heard them believe?

I am a witch so yes. I can say I have seen a lot of hate based on fear. The worst part is that it is only what they do not understand. Most of them don't even understand there own religions and only do as they have been told instead of looking for there own understanding of the "truth"

In the end, the only religion that believes in Satan, it Christians. Not even satanists believe in Satan, they worship them selves. I believe in many God forms, in many shapes, sizes, genders, and origins. None of them are "Satan".

I literally have a coworker who believes: 1. Harry Potter is satanic, and will possess his kids 2. Hollywood is satanic, so his family's not allowed to watch movies.... period. 3. Dinosaurs never existed. It's all a lie. 4. There is no such thing as evolution, etc. 5. God destroyed New Orleans because there was going to be a gay pride parade there. This guy is also a major pothead, beats his wife and kids, has been to prison for dealing crack coccaine, and has the police at his house about once a month.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sabrina the teenage Witch, Charmed, the 4400 , all the shows about aliens and extra terrestial beings. All these genres undermine the truth of the bible and actual reality. so do not dismiss them as harmless. i am sure if you ask the creators of these programs they would tell you that there was no such intent but it is true. Casper the friendly ghost, Gost ( the movie ) i mean just everything perpetuates falsehoods about life after death and what happens to us when we die.
BBC1 ( england today ) 5p.m. Young Dracula.
Channel four ( U.K. ) tonight . film john carpenter's Vampires.
other programmes. Earth : final conflict Tru Calling
Most haunted Will and Grace ( homosexuality acceptance )

Not personally no, but I was watching Wife Swap and there was this overbearing, obese lady from the south who claimed to know God's will and was freaking out because she had to live with this New Age family. At the end she pretended to rip up the check she got for doing the show then we find out she uses it for gastric bypass surgery. (I guess the $$ wasn't "sinful" once she found good use for it). Idiot lady!

My sister believed that her neighbor literally, actually sold his soul to Satan. Signing a bit of paper and everything.

Harry Potter is evil, also she thought the Care Bears were evil and taught "secular humanism" (and therefore Satanic).

I could go on....stop me now....I'm having flashbacks....

My mother-in-law. She doesn't believe in Halloween.
Two ladies I used to work with never did Santa Claus, Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy because it was telling a lie to their children.

I knew a woman who was so psycotic abnout her faith she had bible verses taped up all over her house--the one on the TV said "thou shalt put no unclean thing in front of thine eyes," and the only channel that wasn't blocked on it was the CBC (christian broadcast channel)
