I was wondering if anything knew that if you bought a blue persian, is it possible for it to have blue eyes. Or are they supposed to be copper? I looked on the CFA website, but it doesn't state anything about that.

I for a solid Blue Persian it would be copper eyes, for a colourpointed (Himalayan) it would be blue eyes. The colourpointed has a light, creamy coloured body with darker 'points' (Ears, nose, legs and tail). The pigment is caused by changes in temperature - the colder the body is, the darker the coat. As essentially the Himalayan is a white cat, it has blue eyes. If it is a solid blue (Same colour all over) they eyes should be copper.

A blue Persian is suppose to have copper eyes.On the CFA site were you looking at the breed standard for the Persian? It should have all the info you need concerning color and eye color. Also Himalyans aren't their own breed they are a color category of the Persian. There are 7 color categories in the Persian breed.

my parents have a persian and he has gorgeous copper eyes and I believe they will always have that color. I used to have a himalayan mixed with a persian and he had med. blue eyes. those are the most precious cats to get-the mix.
