How old is this kitten that he can get into the tub? He might not like the litter you're using. Try a different brand. Why can't you let him out of the bathroom? It seems like a long time be cooped up in a little room like that. Comet will get the stain out of the tub. Rinse it well if he is getting in there.

The kitten may be looking for a more discreet place "to go"than where you have he/she box or he smells "you" in the tub.
If you put the litterbox in the tub he/she will get used to the scratching and sniffing and eventually you will be able to move the box. If you have a stain in the tub you may have a calcium build up and need to limeaway or other calcium remover and scrub hard with a non- abrasive . Bleach is good for disinfecting afterwards. And it will de-tur the cat from smelling himself in the tub

Try putting his food and water in the bath too... if it continues, you could always put about a quarter of an inch of water in the bottom of the bath!

It may be that he is fussy - have you tried different litters? Sometimes they will only deficate in certain litters, or it may be that he wants two trays - some will use one to urinate and the other to deficate. Does he always urinate in the tray or does he use the bath for that too?

Best way to get the stain off the bath is bleach!

Put the litter Box in the bathtub. That might help.

why do you have to keep him in the bathroom? That can't be much fun for him, kittens need to explore their surroundings and romp and play! If he's purposely avoiding his litter box he may be letting you know that he's not happy, cats are very good at this!

He is just a baby so he may not be potty trained yet. What you should do is if you ever see your cat about to go to the bathroom put him in the liter box so he can learn.
