You should consider approaching public relations and / or marketing agencies in your area and introducing your service to them. You should explain to them why it is so important that people in your community know about your service and then proceed to tell them that your organisation is a not-for-profit organisation (of course you should only say that if it is the case) and you could then ask whether the agency could spare any resources to do some publicity for you pro-bono. It may mean approaching many, many agencies before one accepts, but if you can find one that does, it'll certainly be worth you effort. Many agencies do a small amount of pro-bono work for good not-for-profit organisations - it's good public relations for the public relations agencies themselves - especially if you target local ones where the organisation is based or where it draws its service users from. Good luck. This approach can be a long one, but if you are successful, it can be very effective.

Try your local free newspaper - they're always usually up for a good story with a local slant. They may run a piece or even offer you the unsold ad space they usually fill with "to advertise here, etc" banners. Also, if there are any other support groups (not even necessarily doing the same thing as you) you could offer a flyer swap arrangement, so everyone benefits. Doctor's surgeries also usually put posters up, and if it's something that some of their patients may need, make sure the staff know that.

Good luck!

How about a website, the internet is used by loads of people, you can set up an Email to store all the information so people can look and see what you are about, as they may not have much time to read the whole poster, but will note down an email address. Also Maybe hire out a town hall for the morning & allow people to come in to look at the information available, and be there to explain any queries they have. invite them in for a coffee from the street. good luck x

Try talking to people from your local community centres ands churches, a lot of people try these places when looking for help. Use there noticeboards and also try your local family center and health visitors, and doctors surgery's. Also the citizens advice bureau

Always have vegetables on give. Saute a big bag associated with frozen mixed vegetables in olive oil and garlic. Add some red pepper or perhaps turmeric for additional flavor in addition to separate into portion-sized containers to the fridge.

Do you have any 'Free-ad' papers in your area? We have one called Friday-ads (they also have a website). You could also post an ad on 'gumtree'. Also most areas have a local forum on the web where you could post an ad. Hope this helps.

Distracted dining are certain to get you in trouble. Avoid eating when in front of a television or in a movie theater, as you're bound to ingest more calories.

Are your dishes too big? A healthy dinner should fit with a 9-inch plate. You may know that kid-sized plates are more appropriately sized to feed a grown-up!
