My bf hasgained weight recently, and he complained a bit about it. but I bet it's just to hear from me how atractive he is. i don't really mind having a skinny bf, it's not that, but I care about his health, he could add more pounds iver the years, and he also smokes, so... he isn't the atletical type at all, and i just want him to loose some weight to be healthier. I am skinny, and he usually cooks, because i burn everything. What tings should I do? What could I do? I don't think telling him is a good idea!!

Sounds like you've got yourself a real winner.A fat smoker. If you plan on staying with him, take out a good insurance policy.
When are women going to learn. The longer you stay with a man(most anyway)the more he'll let himself go.Once they've got you, most men say to hell with keeping up their appearance. If he's already getting fat,he's only going to get fatter. And the smoking is just slow suicide. If he won't quit,he really doesn't care about you.

The unhappy side this is that obtaining anyone to drop pounds is rather like telling anyone to stop smoking or consuming. They shouldn't have a quandary with ..you do. Sometimes persons have got to hit rock backside earlier than they flip matters round. Sadly, a few certainly not achieve that factor. If he does not desire to difference the entire threats and ultimatums on the earth would possibly not encourage him closer to some thing he sees a a further colossal determination in order to be lengthy and hard earlier than he sees any outcome. i want I had higher information for you however that is fact verify time...Good success.

Ah Yes, I have watched a Dr. Phil show on or about this same subject.
1st You have to ask yourself: Are you Happy being skinny?
2nd Are you happy with your cooking skills?
3rd Are you waking up in the middle of the night?
4th Are you thinking about cheating on him?
If you answered no to any of the abouve questions, have you ever been diagnosed, and treated for depression or bi-polar syndromes?
You may research this further, so I added a link for you..Take care I hope it all turns out for the best.
Your Not Alone.....

Do fun, active things together, like going for a walk. Buy some healthy cookbooks- even if you are skinny, it can't hurt to eat a little better. If it really becomes a problem, confront him about it. Tell him that you would love him even if he were 800 pounds, but that you want him to be healthy so you don't lose him to heart disease or something terrible like that.

Would you want him to ask you to change something about you that you are already sensitive about??

Be kind and compassionate about his recent weight gain. Support him if he starts to cook healthier or exercise or offer to go with him, but if he's really going to change his eating/health habits, he has to do it because HE wants to for him. That's the only way he will be happy about it and that it will stick.

The worst thing you can do for his self esteem and feelings of closeness to you is nag him about something as sensitive as weight.

I'm sure if you gained weight he say something - why is it it's so much more acceptable for men to gain and not women? ok ok so if you can't tell him find an activity that you both like and get him to quit those cancer stix! he's not doing you any favors either by smoking (2nd hand smoke) .. lastly, ask him to cook low cal healthy stuff.. like fish and veggies and stuff.....good luck!

I would tell him that you are concerned about his health. There are alot of healthy recipes that taste good. Since he likes to cook you could try making them together.
