After things get weird is when u know u are supposed to be just friends, atleast thats what i think. I go through this often. So I make it clear before i even meet a girl that I am not in it for friendship, u know. Sometimes u must define what u have to ease the confusion. If u like him tell him and see what he says, and if u want to just be friends but mess around tell him. O and here is a hint if u go with the latter of the two, no male will decline that offer, unless he was intoxicated when u kissed. either way he is probably down to mess around.
Good luck

The line was crossed when you made out in his car. There are feelings that are there between the two of you, you need to ask him whats up, but be honest and true to your self before you approach him with it.

...
you were best friends for what you shared together.
now....you are bester friends for what you shared in your car.
crossed the line...?.....no.....not necessarily. it will depend on if you each value another yet enough to have the openness and honesty to realize that what you are now sharing enlarges your friendship....makes you even more intimate.
your relationship now includes that sharing. but...it means for you what it means for you. if you (or him) think that commitment is cemented by this new intimacy because you have a commitment to share what you previously valued then you may wish to re-think. the only difference in your relationship now is that you know each other in a way more intimately. does it change the purpose in your sharing with him...will it change his purpose with you...?...it comes down to purpose. what each of you value about your self ... and then together.
talk it over with him...after you have thought/felt (evaluated).
be well

when they are all you think about and the person who you want to spend all of your time with. If you tell them things you don't tell anyone else... and oh yeah, when you kissed. goodluck.
