As far as i know the Chinese are a little shorter than people elsewhere.So is it that the chinese airlines accept females with a height lesser than the normal standards of 5'2 and above?

There are height restrictions for air hostess in most of the airlines; however most of these airlines have made exceptions in case the lady is beautiful/presentable/smart and has the right attitude. So if you want to be an air hostess. Go out there with the right attitude and confidence.

I'm a bit shorter than you but I heard that airlines have dropped the height requirement. They have a reach requirement now because you have to be able to reach into the overhead lockers and to get the safety equipment on the plane. I heard the height requirement used to be 5'3 so I'm not sure if we, being a lot shorter, would be able to reach high enough to get in. I know I have a lot of trouble reaching for stuff. Yeah, most of them do. They like shorter people to be flight attendants so they don't have to deal with the head-bumping issue.
