If you found an old prescription, the label would tell you what it is. Otherwise, take it to a pharmacist. If the bottle says outdated, it is no good anyway. It sounds like you found an old pill. I know what it is but you should not take it.

These pills are Tylenol, 500mg extra-strength pain reliever tablets. can take up to two every six hours. If expired or not sure it they are; throw them out. Taking 3 regular strength is its equivalent.

Presciptions are intended to be fully used. That's why the pharmacist gives you the presciption he does. If you have something left over and it's old, get rid of it. I can do harm, especially if it's expired. If you really want to know, take it to a pharmacist and ask.

Call the pharmacy. Doesn't sound like a prescription, sounds like generic acetaminophen.
