Depends on the felony... some people make mistakes and learn from them. Other just keep making them. Not enough information to tell.

A person with a felony is like everyone else, they need love. You need to look at one main factor when deciding. That is is this person truly changed or is it just a cover, take time to get to know the person. Talk to family and trustworthy friends and see if they notice a difference.
Do not look at the charge, if you do that then you will never notice the person. Do not assume that the person and the crime are one in the same. Take for instance, a man charged with drugs. Check the guy out watch his behavior,
Don't listen to your friends or family, this is a decision that you alone must make.
After you have made your decision then talk to your friends and family. And let them know of your decision and give them facts about the guy/gal and let them get to know him.

It depends. Sometimes, people change. The past is in the past, and you shouldn't judge a person for what they've done, but rather for who they are now and the person they want to strive to be. But if you're not confortable with it, it would be wiser for you to not lead that person on. Break of the relationship before it's too late and you hurt him/her. Be open minded, non judgemental. But above all...follow your heart and trust your gut instinct. They're usually dead on.
