many others need to believe that. Some of you wouldn't know what to do with yourselves if you could no longer convince people that you were victims. I wonder who you'd blame for all your problems if all the white people suddenly disappeared. Calm down though, cause we're not going anywhere. And have you forgotten that not only white people are upset by illegal immigration? Some people conveniently forget about all the different races in our society in their haste to demonize whites. What about hispanic Americans that are against illegal immigration?

Illegal is illegal, so in that aspect people would still be complaining....but as far as the illegals' debate, they would find a different way to say they were discriminated against. Either way, they are not supposed to be here and the are breaking the law. No other country puts up with illegals the way we do, including Mexico.
(I bring up Mexico because the are on our boarder and so most of the illegals are from Mexico. For example, if Poland or Russia were on our border, and they were illegally coming over, I would feel the same way about them)

ok now for little ole me's opinion: The laws are set there for a reason continuting to disobey them has caused many problems for our state. I believe if you come here you should do so legally!
And yes its a fact if everyone was legal folks would still find something to complain about.
The important thing is you stick to your beliefs and give consideration for others, until you or they are proven wrong
You cant judge someone by thier color or race or even religion. Everyone has a little bit of some other blood mixed in them no one is perfect.

But!, there is a bad and a good in every color, race and religion so Make the choice for yourself dont base it off everyone else.

Problem's pretty much the same, regardless of ethnicity...and there's asians, europeans, africans, and people from the americas that are all trying to do it, trying to effect illegal entry into our country...and I think it's bullshit. But, it's also a symptom of the times we live in. Global population growth in the 20th century amounted to about FIVE BILLION PEOPLE. In 100 years. Five BILLION people. Five billion PEOPLE. Five billion people that have to eat, sleep, and crap somewhere...well, oh, looky, the US is one of the few countries on earth that hasn't bred its way squarely into abject poverty...so now what's gonna happen...nature hates a vacuum...but, SUR-PRISE surprise surprise, there's ALREADY 300 million people IN america, legal or otherwise.
I don't really know how it's all gonna work out, resource shortages cause other problems, famines lead to wars etc., but I'd just as soon not see our representatives flush our country down the toilet on some half-baked goodwill trip. I think we SHOULD help other countries, but not at the expense of our own.
Foreign aid needs to be HIGHLY structured, in my view, and not just monies thrown in the general direction of a given problem in hopes that such an action will elicit at least temporary silence on the part of the recipients...also, once we all become conditioned to that cycle, it's neverending...that's not teaching INdependence, which is our general philosophy, or at least used to be, not too long ago, but rather just engenders perpetual dependency on such aid. You just have to wonder if all this is ever gonna pay off, someday...

I think the best way is to try and TEACH people in other nations how to deal with their own problems, not just a global megabillions giveaway. As they say, 'easy come, easy go'.
And, now that there's this whole internet thingy, they can pick up on farming and infrastructure stuff, and help themselves...you know, 'teach a man to fish', that whole trip.

I read that other countries have a problem letting their own citizens OWN property, and property's a form of wealth, I guess.
It's a place to build your house, a place to call your own...a place no one can take from you. Well, that doesn't really ring true in a lot of countries, apparently. But, that just boils down to just plain shitty governance, if you ask me. People with no rights, property rights etc., will ALWAYS be poor...and truth be known, that's how their 'leaders' like it...people are always vulnerable, have no money, have no power...have no real say in their own future.
That's another part of it, voting.

Well, a lot of AMERICAN voters think that fence is a pretty keen idea. And, the People have spoken. And, on top of that, Congress and Bush have responded, by passing the border fence bill, and making it law. Bet you can't do that in Mexico...or in a lot of other places...

Illegal immigrants ARE white people. and hispanic...and every ethnicity. I think you've got a false premise there about the illegal immigration debate.

You might be confusing "illegal" and "legal" with races. There is only a question of legality, not race. If, for instance, I am for reforming illegal immigration, the political people opposing my view will try to paint me as a racist (debate tactic: straw man).

A valid retort might be: What color is the law? What race is the law?

The great thing about the internet is that those who disagree with this post don't know what race I am :)

if you want to go into that line of thinking could you not also say if it would not be such a blow to our economy wouldn't we throw all the illegals out? when the Constitution of the United States was written the sole purpose was not only to give us rights but it instructs our government to protect those rights...it is their job to uphold the law and the law states you must be a citizen to have these freedoms. So why is it they can come in our country not pay our taxes but milk the federal government and underbid our jobs? as American Citizens we are free to do/say many things, we faught for those freedoms long ago(not the mexicans, canadians etc.) and I think Americans have forgotten this, I don't care what color you are if your not a citizen you have no right to be here unless your on a visa and i also think if your going to be here at all YOU SHOULD SPEAK ENGLISH!
