My son and his girlfriend just bought a house, they are having a party in 2 weeks... What would be an appropriate gift from sons parents??????

They just bought a house.. Any gift certificate to most places..i.e, Home Depot, Bed and Bath, etc. that way they can purchase what they need and not get 15 toasters..

if you have been to the new house then you could see if they needed anything if not then you could always buy several $20.00 gift cards from several stores that might be good or just one big one from some where that they enjoy going shopping. that way they get what they like if you want to buy a gift just ask them if there is anything they really need or want. It never hurts to ask.

The best gift is money because they can't return it and they will love it because they can get what ever they need. Also you don't have to rack your brain trying to figure out what to buy. They do all that for you.

If you're not sure, get them a gift certificate to Home Depot or Lowe's. they can always use that. Or a store like Pier One. Or IKEA.

nice serving dishes, turkey platter, nice serving utensils,
bbq utensils, nice plant, garage door opener,
blender, any appliances they need, convection oven.
a silver tea service? a beautiful salad bowl with silver tongs?
a piece of artwork you know they will like
a yard/lawn sculpture or birdbath
whatever you think they need and will be useful.
