I am looking to lose some weight but with minimal exercise. Just wondering if anyone has tried any of those pills or something else out there. I do not want to spend tons of money on it either.

If you want to lose weight and maintain it, you will HAVE to exercise. It doesn't have to be tons of exercise though. Start eating healthy. Cut out all fast food and soda. Eat more vegetables and fruits-(raw-uncooked is best). Drink lots of water! If you do this combines with a 30 minute walk three times a week, you will lose weight, and keep it off. You will feel a lot better also!

Diet pills do not work! They can lead to a lot of health problems, so you should stay away from them. It has also been proven that although you may lose weight while taking them, when you stop you will not only gain your weight back, but more of it! They speed up your metabolism, which burns off fat, but when you stop taking them, your body doesn't know what to do, so your metabolism will work at a slower rate than it did before you ever started taking them.

Good Luck--be healthy!!

You will not starve. You will not instantly become thin. Fasting is consuming only liquids. When the body does not have to deal with digesting solid food and getting rid of the waste that solid food creates, it can concentrate on getting rid of toxins. The most common reason to fast is to eliminate disease or from the body.

How much weight will I lose?

The main benefit offered by a fast, to those who wish to lose weight, is the speed of the weight loss. To see a person drop 30-to-40 pounds in a 30-day juice fast is to see a person totally transform his life. Self-esteem is given a boost and for the first time in their life, discipline becomes a lifestyle. The fast becomes a catalyst for a total life overhaul. People start dressing better, showing more confidence, becoming more organized, more dedicated in relationships and more at peace.

Initially, weight loss can be as high as three-to-four pounds per day, but as the fast continues, the average loss will be one pound-per-day. If you are juice fasting and not losing weight, the juice is supplying all the calories you need. You may have to cut down on the juices or alternate between water fasting and juice fasting if losing weight is part of your goal. The slower your metabolism is the slower the weight loss.

Try to stay focused on the healthy things you are doing to improve your life rather than being consumed with the number of pounds lost each day. Water retention can vary your weight five pounds so watching the scale can be frustrating. The best motivation to fast is for physical and spiritual health. Be patient; the fasting process is slow. Be thankful the toxins are leaving your body. Do not have unrealistic expectations. Give your body the time it needs to do the work of cleansing.

Fasting And Metabolism

The fear is that while fasting, the metabolism will slow down and afterward there will be more weight gained than before the fast. Initially, any calorie reduction will cause a lowering in the BMR or base metabolic rate. Cleansing will bring health that will increase metabolic performance and energy output. In other words, you will eat less and feel more energetic.

After fasting, the body is more efficient. Digestion is better due to a cleaner colon. The colon walls have been cleansed of impacted feces, allowing improved absorption of nutrients. The good news is that greater efficiency equals enhanced energy. Healthy people burn more calories. They also eat less because they are more active and feel better about themselves. They don't need food as a security blanket.

The greatest impact you can have on increasing your resting metabolism is exercise. After a workout, you can be sitting on the couch reading while burning calories, as the muscles are grabbing glucose from the blood to replace glycogen supplies. The key to weight loss is fewer calories and more exercise. A diet high in raw food provides fewer, low-density calories, and higher-fiber, more-filling foods.

Oh, by the way, a slower metabolism diminishes aging. A tortoise can live to 400 hundred years of age.

An hour a day is recommended for safe weight loss combined with the other things you are doing. Here is a formula: Find your resting metabolism and add your calories burned from activity to find your maintenance requirement. To safely lose 1-2 lbs a week deduct 500 calories per day from the maintenance total. Drink 8 oz of water for each 2 hrs you're awake. Also, eat at least 14 grams of fat per day for proper body function.Instead of white flour eat whole grain flour/pasta/bread/cereal. Your body will not target weight loss but you will lose overall. For those problem areas do some squats and lunges with and without weights and do planks instead of crunches because they work your entire core and cause no lower back problems.

Stay away from the weight loss pills. It's for short-term and you will only gain the weight back and possibly more once your stop. Are you too lazy to exercise or is it for medical reasons? Either way, get off your butt and get moving. If we could all lose weight fast and without changing our lifestyle or exercise, don't you think we would all do it?

Let me tell you how I did it and I am still doing it ... I started using a "No Diet Weight Loss Plan". Honestly, I did not diet (that's boring), eat special foods (that cost extra money), skip meals (that makes your stomach growl), or even exercise (physically that is hard for me to do because of my back). I have lost 20 pounds in 26 days and 2" in my waist and I have 30 more pounds to go. It is the simpliest weight loss plan that I have ever experienced and I am 45 years old

You can also lose one pound a week

The majority of fitness professionals advise slow weight loss as the safest and most helpful approach. A sensible weight-loss program allows you to lose weight slowly -- about one-half to one pound per week. Slow weight loss promotes long-term loss of body fat, not just water weight that can be rapidly regained.

Most people need around 15 calories per pound to maintain their weight. A person of 150 pound would not eat food that contains calories more than 2250 per day in order to maintain his/her weight.

In order to burn one pound, a person need to burn 3500 calories more than they are used. For example, dropping calories by 300 per day and increasing daily movement to burn off an extra 200 calories should result in a weight loss of one pound a week.
