Grew up there myself and I swear I will never get over missing it. Manhattan Beach - yay!
The best thing is that LA is close to everything, beaches, hills, lots to do and see. The worst thing would be the smog, I think.

The worst thing is, like everyone else said- TRAFFIC. We all know how the 10 and 405 get during rush hour! Aaagghhh.
The best thing is the diversity. A friend of mine is from Boston but currently attending grad school here. She said that when she first started watching TV, she noted that there were a lot of non-white people in commercials.
Oh yeah, and the beaches are cool :)

The Best thing about L.A. is weather or the beach or the girls or the things to do or the restaurants or UCLA or the economy.
The Worst thing about L.A. is the traffic or the smog or the price of housing or racism or crime.

Yes, traffic is definitely the worst!!! Thank goodness I work at home!! But, I have to add that house prices are outrageous too!!!!
However, there is so much diversity, so many things to do, see, places to go, weather is awesome. We have the beaches and mountains all so close. One day you can go surfing the next snowboarding... Where else!!!! I love it soooo much. I live in a suburb but I'm no more than an hour away from everything and anything that is LA!!!

ok like other before me said the traffic and "June Gloom" is the worst thing and lately it's been the high cost of housing. The Best thing has to be the food... Mexican Food, Pinks, Tommy's on Rampart blvd and In & Out Burger... and a close second is it's always beach weather all year round (well most of of the year).

The best thing is the fact you won't be bored. You're a hour or so away from the mountains, the beach, and everything in between. The worst thing is that you'll have to fight traffic to get anywhere.

the best is in-n-out burger! You wont miss it till you move to Charlotte NC but its always the first place i stop when i visit. The worst is the mall-core kids. Some of the people out there try way to hard to look "cool"

Best: being able to spend time in any type of environment I want such as: beach, mountains, desert....all within a 1 to 2 hour drive from my house. Liberal minded people, great weather, great access to whatever, clubs, restaurants, etc.
Worst: traffic, arrogant people.

THE TRAFFIC!!!!! what a nightmare : / hmm this out toward's rancho cucamonga but the best is legend burger ON ROUTE 66.
