My wife......... my two children, my animals and seeing them all healthy gives me a good feeling in my chest. The burning fire inside would probably come from just having eaten a spicy meal. (J/K) what has stamped out depression in my life? A: The science and "creation" of Prozac...LOL. What puts a smile on my face from day to day? Knowing that I have all of these things and provide comfort and care for them. And knowing that I can go fishing occasionally.

1. When i can help someone or make them smile. i had a lady tell me "You bring sunshine in with you every day." so knowing that i made her happy without trying, knowing that i left a good impression on someone that was having a bad day , that gave me a good feeling.
2. The fire that burns inside of me burns for my son. I will do anything for him including coming to this boring job everyday.
3. I was depressed 3 years ago and the drugs didn't help take it away it wasn't a chemical imbalance it was just that i had tried so hard to make other people happy that i didn't know who i was. once i started just being me i found i was much happier and it just got better from there. Rule number one you can't live anybodies life for them you have to live your own. being adopted makes that hard to get sometimes.
4. My son puts a smile on my face everyday.

I'm agnostic, I don't know whether their is a deity or how involved they are in our existence now. I think religion is man made though. I think I am just a person whose set point runs happy. I find happiness and joy generally in my friends and family and in enjoying the beauty of nature. Some things that make my life joyful and full of meaning are amateur stargazing, volunteering to help in my community, SCUBA diving, running, hiking, playing with my dog, cooking for my family, hanging with my friends, listening to music, etc... What more do I need? I can look at nature and feel awed at its glory without necessarily having to believe it was created by a supernatural being.

Home and family. The little things. A nice dinner or a play.
Who said I had any depression to be stamped out?

I get that feeling when I succeed in my life, in making my life how I want it. I got it when I made it to the college of my choice, when I got to study abroad in Europe, when I graduated, when I got a job... I get it every day when my children smile at me, when my husband gives me a hug, when the sun is shining and a breeze is blowing, and heck it just feels darn good to be alive.

Seeing my daughter always puts a smile on my face. Chocolate doesn't hurt either.
