I think the media is responsible for attacks on any religions and creating a mass unrest on debating whether that one particular religion is considered as evil. I vote that any media through any means do not attached the word of any religions to a particular word such as terrorist etc as it would only leave a bad impression and creates more riots, protests and unrest.
Freedom of speech does not means not respecting one's believe.
What do you think?

I agree, you never hear Catholic terrorists. You never hear of any other religion being branded terrorists in fact. Why is that? When McVey bombed the Federal Building in Oklahoma did they ever give his religion? I don't think so. When the Uni Bomber who was sending bombs through the mail was caught, did they tell his religion ? Nope! Ted Bundy? Nope! But they guy who was doing the shootings in D.C was a Muslim terrorist. The fact is that anytime a Muslim does something in this country they are branded a terrorist, it doesn't matter whether the motivation was terror related or if the guy was just pissed off. They are automatically a terrorist and they always attached the word Muslim to them. WHY? Because it gets ratings for one thing.

Too many people claim to "know" the truth without every offering any proof, beyond the existance of "sacred scriptures". The Gospel of the Redman (a compilation of Native American writings) offers the Twelve Commandments which the First Commandment reads:

"There is but one Great Spirit...Reverence Him, and respect all worship of Him by others, for none have all the truth, and all who reverently worship have claims on our respect. So also, show respect to such things as are held sacred by others."

This sums up how I feel about religion.

Religion has caused so much controversy since the beginning of time. I think that if a religion brings you closer to the Lord God then its a correct religion. NO matter what customs or traditions they have or how they interpert the bible. Yeah all religions think they are number one but I guess you become so involved with it that you want other people to see the religion through your eyes and feel the same way you do about it. A wrong religion is when your hurting other people cause you think your lord wants you to or for his name. No rightious lord would want that .

The "media" are NOT creating the religious troubles today. This is how it's ALWAYS been. There was no CNN during the Crusades or the Spanish Inquisition. I'm sure cavemen argued over which rock to worship. "No, MY rock is the only true rock. MY rock created the world!"
As for the rest of your question, it's too poorly written for me to understand what point you're trying to make. Yet, somehow, I think you're probably wrong.

I agree, my religion teaches love your neighbor as you love yourself. Perhaps there are a lot of people that don't follow their religion or they don't love themselves. Who knows, but at any rate, spreading love is better than hate. We are all human and have to coexist. Your bring a clear message and I am grateful that there are people out there that really get it. That said, it is my responsibility as a Christian to bring the Word to others. I know I have to be careful, most of us know that faith cannot be force fed. It is important to other religions as it is for us to simply say no thanks and move on if we don't agree. As well to realize the seriotypes of a certain religion are just that... Steriotypes. Not everyone is radically crusading members of their religion. There are a lot that follow the scriptures or their beliefs by living in peace everyday. I hope you have a lovely day.

There has been religious conflict since the beginning of religion. Nothing to do with mass media. Only some religions claim that they are "right" and others are "wrong." You pretty much named them (Islam, Christianity, judaism). My religion (Wicca) does not make that claim. People are free to believe whatever they want.

Well, I will agree that the left wing media is the cause of much of the world's problems. However, the radical, Islamist terrorists contribute VERY heavily to them. The world was doing pretty well, until they raised their ugly heads. They DO want to take over the world, don't let yourself be fooled. Of course it doesn't really have anything to do with religion, they just think their sh!t doesn't stink and the know how everything should be ran.

I agree. It is the media. People who have not heart of Muslims are immediately hating them for what they see or hear on the news about the Muslim fanatics. Unfortunately they think that we are all the same. If the fanatics know what I think of them, they will kill me too. You see they think they have a mission in life, poor souls, brains are controlled by others.
Does the media attack Jews and Christians? I doubt it, the media is controlled by Bush and his gang. He is a Christian and has many Jews in the US, who he cannot afford to upset.
In spite of it all, I still have respect for Jews and Christians.

Yes, this is a Free Country....Like I have told SEVERAL people on here,,,,,religion is just religion. God didn't come up with religion, people did....He let's himself known, and people take it where they want. He gives people a choice. I don't know why but he does.........Freedom of speech does mean respecting one's belief...to me. If you don't like a certain thing like a type of drink, do you drink it? no of course you don't, so if you don't like religion don't do it...Get over it. Every one can't be pleased. Quit worrying about what everyone else is doing.

People who fight over religion does not have a real relationship with God. Religion is only a search towards God, but having a right relationship is what matters.
