Your bigotry and racism is showing, by asking the question. Most Western Europeans that are here, whether legal or illegal status, learn to speak English. They do not apply for food stamps. They do not commit violent crimes them run back south of the border. Usually, it is the well educated or highly skilled Western Europeans that come here. The last figures I saw, was that the amount of illegal Irish and European Illegal aliens was so minuscule, that it is less than 1% of the total illegal immigrants in the USA. They do not move into neighborhoods and turn it into little Latin American cesspools of drugs, crime, and racist behavior against anyone else that will not live the way they do, which is like Mexicans and Latin Americans that live in the slums of their home land. I was in Iraq from March 2004 to March 2005. Even the Iraqis are going through hard times, they do not want to leave. They want to stay and rebuild their country. Most illegals from south of the border, are a bunch of wimps that do not want to help their countries become better, they are running like cowards to the USA.

I think people complain about any illegal immigration regardless of the country of origin. The fact is that illegal Mexican immigration is a hot topic because of the sheer numbering into the millions of illegal aliens coming from Mexico. If you have one or two black ants in your house, yet an entire nest of thousands of red ones, are you going to try to go searching for black ants and ignore the red ones? No. You get rid of the bigger problem first and then work on the small one later. With over a million illegal aliens entering via Mexico from all over the world, we can eliminate the biggest problem first. Illegals from every country will be decreased when we address the issue by starting where it originates from. We must not support illegal immigration from any source. It is the Mexican illegals who are actively attempting to secure rights they are not entitled to with demonstrations that reveal the fact that there are more of them than any other nationality. I didn't see any Irish flags being waved during the multiple demonstrations of illegal aliens shown on the news.

I can see where people will sometimes assume that we speak of illegals, we're only referring to those that come over from Mexico. I speak of all illegal immigrants, unless I say specifically the Mexican people.
I think too, right now, it may just be easier to focus on one group of people, due to the numbers that keep coming in, constantly. It's more readily available on the news right now.
I remember years back, when people were speaking of no one else but the Vietnamese people coming here.. and everything that was handed to them freely. Made alot of American citizen more than upset.
I think that if these people (all illegal immigrants) came here legally, we'd be more accepting.

they do. but 80% of all illegals are from Mexico. if you concentrate on the Irish and European 80 percent of the people will make it into the country. they make up a small percentage of the illegals and ice is sometimes harder on the Irish and European illegals than the Mexican, because the Mexican can scream discrimination.

There are not 12.2 million of them for starters. They are not out marching in the streets and taking their issue to the newspapers and demanding 'rights'. I find the audacity of the 'spokes people' of the latino community appalling.
Any immigrant that comes here illegally has broken the law of the country and should be held accountable. I am her legally and am doing all the right things to get my pemanent residency status and green card. IWe pay taxes, take care of our own health care and contribute to our community with our dollars and time. We may have to go to the back of the line if amensty for illegals, mostly hispanics, is declared. Is that fair? Am I wrong to be appalled?

When the words "illegal immigrant " are used it means ANYONE in this country illegally. Its not a difficult concept. Unfortunately the majority of them come across the southern border.

I don't think Irish and European illegal immigration is a very big problem or people would complain about it.
