it's really nice to eat man, it acts as a fiber so it's totally not harmful although if it irritates you, plate the hive ontop of a large filter and under it a beaker and leave to settle for 1-2 days.

at home when we get fresh honey from the farm we just eat it with the wax and mix it with butter on toast - YUMM!

You cold try to separate the wax from the honey by wrapping the comb in a cheescloth and then put it an a salad spinner.(maybe not worth the mess if you don't have a lot of comb) or, alternatively maybe put in blender then filter through fine mesh sieve......you could also try to melt the wax by heating, mixing and then slowly let it cool it down maybe it will form layer on top that can be scraped off(I don't know if that would work though)
Some people actually eat the comb. Some use the beeswax for their hands. Good luck and bon appetit........

It's much better if you break off a piece & chew it. To get the honey from the cone, you have to mash it or squeeze it. DON'T put it in the fridge, it will turn to sugar!! Now you'll have to put it in a bowl & microwave it, on the lowest setting (3). For 55 seconds. Keep yer eye on it!

I have always eaten honeycomb as a child so your question was puzzling. I guess everybody else is used to honey alone.
-------------------
Honey is in its purest form while still in the comb. Honeycomb is edible and adds a whole new dimension to eating honey by combining texture and flavor. It can be used on muffins, bagels, fruit, etc. or chewed like gum.

When I was little, my neighbour used to give us bits of broken honeycomb. We used to eat it. Honey, comb, the lot! Try it, you might enjoy it!

only way to get honey out of a comb is by spinning the comb.........put a chopstick all the way through from top to bottom attach some sort of handle..........put comb in a container and spin the comb rapidly on the axisc of the chopstick....honey will come out under centralfugal force

I think you press it. Professionaly, they use a honey extractor which uses centrifugal force to get it out.
