I'm thinking in how much we eat. I kept my old exercise program, and began eating small amount of food 6 times a day, instead of 3 large meals, and i have lost 20 pounds in a little over 2 months.

It is based on what we eat and the amount we eat. We eat too many fried foods, sugar based foods and refined white flour foods and drink sodas instead of drinking more water and eating more low fat protiens, fruits, veggies and whole grain foods.
Also, the average persons bowl of cereal in the morning is the equivalent of 3 servings. We aren't aware of the serving sizes of things we eat.

I honestly think it is a combination of both. More so the portion sizes becuase in other countries they have Mc Donalds but out small is there large. I heard that if people were to reduce there portion size it could help dramatically on there weight. But then again it dones't help that we are the country to have founded deep fried twinkies, and deep fried snickers. :)

We stuff our faces like pigs (although I think pigs are smart enough to just eat what they need) and we do not include regular meaningful exercise in our daily routine.

Unbeknown to us all major food companies are putting additives in our food to make us hungry. The more organic food you can find to consume the better you will feel and you will be healthier and slimmer,it helps to exercise to.

Both are definitely culprits. In addition to our laziness and/or lack of physical activity.

I believe it is the quantity of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) that is put in most of the foods and beverages we consume. I have eliminated HFCS from my diet and have lost weight and feel healthier.
