It will still be accurate. The only reason they suggest first thing in the morning is because, since you haven't peed in a while due to sleeping, the hormone levels that are detected would be higher. I took tests in the late evening with both of my boys during the very early stages of pregnancy and they were both accurate.

It depends on how far a long you are. If you just missed your period, and are trying to find out if you are pregnant, and you take it in the afternoon or evening, it is more possible to get a false negative. The reason it says to take it first thing in the morning is because that is when your hormone level is at its highest. It goes down through out the day and there may not be a high enough level of hormones to give you the positive result. If you are father along then you should be able to take it any time through out the day to get a positive answer. But if you have just missed your period than you should wait until first thing in the morning. Good Luck!!

The reason that it's "best" to take them first thing in the morning is because your urine is more concentrated. But if you can hold your pee for 4 or 5 hours (and not drink any liquids) you may still have the chance to get an accurate result.

You can take it anytime if you are already a few days late but if you are testing early- first morning urine is best because it has higher levels of the pregnancy hormone.

Yes you can use them any time of day, but it's recommended to use it first thing in the morning because your urine is more concentrated at that time and you're more likely to have an accurate result.

22 years ago I could not wait and used evening time and it was positive. It also stated to wait 45 minutes but you could tell in about 10 minutes.

Things have changed and improved over the last 20 years. My daughter took hers in the afternoon and got a positive.

yes, you can do one anytime, but the hormone that a pregnancy test looks for is the most concentrated first thing in the morning.

The best time is in the morning, but if you are pregnant it will show up at anytime of the day.
