Bagels are normally fast fuel for me in the morning, less messy than cereal or a breakfast shake. Anyone have any kind of bagel alternative without the fat?

Just switch to whole grain bagels. Also, what you put on the bagel makes a big difference in nutritious content. Avoid cream cheese and sugary jams/jellies, instead try fat-free margarine. Other than that, enjoy your morning bagels and good luck :)

Bagels are fine to eat in the morning, just buy the low fat bagels. It's better then eating an egg mcmuffin or something like that..so don't worry about it :)

It's not the bagels that are bad for you .. it's the type of bagels and the size of bagels that bad for you. Stick to whole grain/multi grain. Don't completely skip the cream cheese, just go light on it. You should always have protein with your carbs.
A bagel should not be bigger than your tightly clenched fist.

Bagels aren't really that fattening it just depends what you put on them. If you are watching carbs only eat half the bagel and put the light cream cheese on it. I eat the wheat/multigrain bagels with a little cream cheese and strawberry jelly.
How is cereal messy? lol

Don't worry about the fat content. Find a whole wheat bagel and you'll be in good shape. It's a enriched flour that you should be worried about.
