I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Diet
When you wake up
Have your breakfast BEFORE going for a walk. Your body needs energy to perform. It's carbohydrates that give your body energy to move. Once you start walking at the desired pace, that is when fat burning begins. If you don't fuel your body with enough energy, it won't work effectively and the rate of fat burn will be much lower. Always fuel your body for the activity it is going to perform, not for the activity it has already performed.
Breakfast
Upma/chappati/Marie biscuits are alright, but I would recommend a bowl of cereal with skimmed milk.
A fruit of your choice and juice. Give yourself half an hour to digest the food before going for your walk.
Have a big glass of water before and after walking.
Mid Morning (10.30 am)
Tea with skimmed milk. Instead of sugar, use a sweetener like Equal.
A handful of nuts of your choice or a fruit.
Lunch (1 pm)
3-4 chappatis
Dal
Vegetables (try and get as much variety as possible, weekly) -- dry or as a curry, but cooked in olive oil.
Salad
Evening Snack (5 pm)
Tea
Fruit/whole grain bread sandwich (No butter/cheese)
Dinner (by 9 pm latest)
Give yourself a three-hour gap between dinner and bedtime. Being the last meal of the day, dinner should have low carbohydrate content.
2 chappatis
Dal
Paneer/ chicken/ fish/ egg (white only) curry (cooked in 1 tablespoon olive oil)
Salad
NO rice
NO papad or pickle. Both are high in salt content; pickle is high in oil content too.
Make sure you get at least 8 big glasses of water a day.

Cut down on your calorie intake. Eat whole grains, lean proteins and dairy, and lots of veggies & fruits. Stay away from highly processed foods, like frozen entrees & such. Watch your intake of salty and sugar-filled snacks, they are just empty calories and not good overall. Mostly, try to have 4-6 smaller meals every day, instead of 3 major ones. This will help kickstart your metabolism into burning more calories. And always drink plenty of water, 4-8oz with every meal and you'll get the recommended daily amount without even trying hard. Good luck!

I have recently experienced this. 6 weeks ago i went to the dr and my weight number was a lil high. i went home and realized i needed to lose weight- but i am a food addict and i hate to excersise. so i bit the bullet (celebrity fit club is very inspiring) and cut my meals down, eliminated all beverages except water, my morning cup of tea and the occasional cocktail. that was pretty hard because i love pepsi and snapple. and then i stopped eating junk food, and cut down on the carbs and sugar. i wasnt stressing the diet, trying not to think about it and just do it. i did not adjust my physical activity at all, maybe i picked up an extra shift at work but thats it. so then i go to the dr. yesterday and the nurse told me my weight was down 12 pounds. 6 weeks- 12 pounds- ill take that. patience and perseverence really puuls off. cut down on the fried foods, find veggies that you can enjoy, dont make yourself crazy but have self discipline. i never knew how good boneless chicken beast on salad could be! of course ya gotta put shaved carrots and shredded cheese and use your favorite dressing- mine is caesar vinagrette with parmesan. oh and try not to snack too much before bed. =) good luck

If it's just weight you're worried about and not inches, do a colon cleanse. Ideally, we need 35 grams of fiber per day. Average Americans only get 12. Increase your fiber. Eat beans, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, drink between one half and one full gallon of water per day. Exercise (heavy breathing, sweat dripping) for at least an hour every day. It won't be fun. It won't be easy but chances are it will work. No meat, no dairy, no sugar!

Cardio + Light weight training + Proper Diet = Goal
* Eat whole food
Top weight loss tips
Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine. Suggest eating veggies, fruits, and proteins. Stay away from junk food, fried food, and anything else that you feel is bad for you.
* Eat fresh fruit
Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season. Also consume protein because both fruits and protein can fill you up and it makes your stomach seem like its full.
* Drink enough water
Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up.
* Always chew your food
Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion.
* Take small meals
Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal. That means eat 5-6 meals a day instead of 3 huge meals a day.
* Include protein at meal
Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.
* Shut off TV while eating
Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!
* Increase your physical activity ( Cardio )
Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.
*Weight training ( Light 5 to 10 lbs )
buy some dumbells that are 5-10 lbs and do some exercises with them. Search google: Dumbell exercises and you will see a bunch of useful links along with pictures and description on how to do it. When gaining weight but your doing everything correctly and see changes in your shape, that means you are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat so dont be alarmed when that happens. You can workout in front of the TV and watch your favorite episode of whatever and it will make time go by faster
The website below has many different exercises listed and it has pictures to go along to show you how its properly done

Best of luck to you.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow.

As the guy before me said, your metabolism is crashing. Your body is keeping all the energy it can get since your are depriving it of your normal healthy intake. You need to eat more so that your body's metabolism can go up again. Try to eat 5 small meals in a day instead of the usual 3.
