uhhhhhh..... That is what American likes to drive. Lots of space, horsepower, and they are fun to operate. It beats driving a bicycle in China or a jack *** in Afghanistan. Me? I don't care much for s.u.v. s. I drive big pick up trucks.

We? I don't buy them, do you? But some people like the feeling of power they provide for the driver. You are up high and can see over traffic. And they can carry a lot of stuff. Ever try to take a desk home from the store in a small car? I have.

Because gas prices are down. When gas prices were high ppl were getting smaller, economical cars that didn't guzzle gas like the SUVs do.

because people are obsessed with status and if they drive a big car it makes them feel like a big, important person, and ALL the people I know that drive them have NO clue that they are bad for the environment. Also, all the people I know that drive them have NEVER once used them for what they were meant to be used for....off roading!! Someone mentioned gas prices are DOWN??? Since when, they are still sky high here in California.

Sports Utility Vehicles are strong and sturdy and you feel safe and secure in them. They give a flashy and catty look and go well with the attitude.

I bought one for more room. My husband and I bump elbows in smaller cars. Plus it's easier to carry groceries in, buy furniture etc.
