Purple

teal/turquoise
dark reds
black
forest green
You can keep the grape theme...just repaint the walls. Pick out a color that goes with your wallpaper border or pictures, curtains etc.

Are you wanting to keep the purple grape theme? I'd recommend going with either a medium shade olive green (not too dark) to go with the grape theme because it could go along with the green in the leaves of the grapes and also go along with the burgandy. A medium shade would keep the nice rich color yet keep it bright enough not to look gloomy. Another color that might go well is a medium colored sand or stone colored brown. Brown is kind of a variartion of red/burgandy and could go well. Finally, a medium grey might work, but I'm naming it last because it might make it seem a little gloomy.
I recommend against any bright colors such as eggshell white because it would create too much of a contrast I think against a dark color like burgandy. It would also make the kitchen look cheap compared to a dining room rich deep color, although white cabinets can look very great if done right giving kind of a New England type feel to the kitchen.
A medium tone will help continue the richness of color you get from the burgandy while keeping the kitchen failrly bright.
A medium blue could also work, but then you are getting more into a theme like country pattern colors or lighthouse themed colors.

Depending on the color of your cabinets something in the nuetrals like a warm beige or a taupe would work well with your color scheme. Continue with the cream trim in the kitchen.

Use the cream colors as main color, using burgandy & a third color for trims..a third color would make it 'individual' for the kitchen ...such as...navy blue, hunter green, deep purple,etc...

Most definitely, paint your kitchen eggshell white. Get rid of the yellow for sure. You will be satisfied.
