Not really. The Bible is (if you're a Christian, anyhow) directly inspired by God, which means that although it was humans putting pen to paper, it was God who ensured that the ideas expressed were His.
Even if you don' t believe God had anything to do with it, the Bible was still written by a fairly impressive bunch of people. Great leaders (such as Moses, Joshua, David and Solomon), wrote a large part of the Old Testament, and early church leaders, who knew a great deal and who often were with Jesus as He was walking the earth wrote the majority of the New Testament.
If a collection of some of the greatest leaders of our time (such as Washington, Lincoln, Churchill, Gandhi, Martin Luther King jr, etc) got together somehow and wrote a book, would you say it was like a car built by a hairdresser?

All that is pretty much moot, though. If the Bible's not inspired by God, even if it was written by great leaders, it'd be like buying a car without an engine in a world without roads.

properly, i used to be unswerving TO TOYOTAS till my modern-day lease. Even previously the scandal of each and every of the Toyota subjects, I knew this vehicle became somewhat junk as quickly as I drove it off the lot. area of the siding snapped out of place and the molding interior the driving force's component door became loose. once I complained, they informed me that's meant to be that way. The breaks act humorous now and back, i can't describe it. i actually had a nightmare those days that the vehicle speeded up and that i could no longer end it. to any extent further, in my e book, a distant places-call vehicle is not any assure of high quality anymore. Who is attentive to the place the autos are made, besides. some Toyotas are assembled interior the U. S. and a few American call autos are made distant places, besides! LOL.

No, I think believing in the bible is naive. And without one's personal research, sort of like believing in the tooth fairy.
