I wore my hair in braids for 2 months and I stopped perming it 4 months ago. ANd Now I have a lot of new growth at my roots. Should I cut off the permed ends? I don't want to. Because I hate short hair.

If you want to finally have natural hair then do it. I think it is better to cut your hair instead of having two textures. There is a website that may make you feel a little more confident with short hair. www.motowngirl.com It is a very good site about natural hair care and really helped me when I first the perm out of my hair. I think sometimes we as women have the wrong idea of beauty. It's not about the length of our hair, but self-confidence that makes us beautiful. GOOD LUCK!!!

Natural hair is prettier. Besides, in the length of time that it takes to process a perm, you could have straightened your hair with a hot comb/flat iron and keep that for 2-4 weeks. Its alot stronger and more fun to style too!

Cut the perm because you'll cause more damage trying to keep the permed strands than just cutting it off at the beginning. Besides, you only live once and you'll get to at least try short hair...

Hope this helps

Just perm it again to make it straight at the roots. I do that. I haven't permed in quite a few months but I am about to because I am taking my extentions out.

Only if there is a sign of damage. Just keep your hair conditioned and clean.
