Roses, daffodils and daisies are flowers - a symbol to some as love. It has been a way to get to a woman's heart for years now. Valentine's Day a man is to show the one he loves how much he appreciates her with flowers, chocolate, or jewelry.
I believe the idea of flowers being romantic came from william shakespeare and his poetry.

I am not a romantic so I'll give it to you straight. Roses mean money. Daffodils and daisies means you have less money but you still care.
