You haven't been played. You met another guy and told me you almost had sex with him, and that you did want to have sex with him, and you are also still planning on still seeing him. Kinda hard to get played when you are interested in someone else. I didn't start seeing my ex until you broke up with me and met him. Thats when She and I started talking again. I am sure she already told you that. and then she told me she wanted to work things out but that she still wanted to get divorced and I didn't understand how that would work, so I was going to back off, and you and I started talking again and seeing eachother and here is where we are now. I am not sure how you can get played when you wanted someone else besides me!

It gets better with time. My best friend is with my ex husband. I felt like I was hit in the stomach with a baseball bat. Its not the husband that got to me - it was the loss of my best friend - and knowing the things I had told her. I was pretty depressed for a while. But your true friends and family come through and help you out of the pits. After awhile you don't feel like a big fool. Just keep your head up and pretend you don't even care. It hurts less all the time.

Pick up your head and move on, yes it feels like hell going through what your feeling but if you let it get to you it could affect not only yourself but your home life, job, social life, etc.
Make a mental note of what happened throughout the relationship (which I am assuming thats what you mean) and know the signs that you were faced with so that next time it happens you can ditch it before it ditches you!

Get out and do things, get your mind off it, so you can heal. Once you start feeling like you are yourself again, try to examine what happened, but... don't obsess with it... and move on. There are lots of fish in the sea. It happens when you least expect it.

Make it into a positive for you. Learn something from your experience and know that you are not the first nor the last person to be had.

It takes time to heal. If you want to do this, go see a counselor or a therapist, because it seems to me that you need to talk to someone! Learn from past mistakes, so you won't do it again!

Time will make it better - just remember ALL of us has at one time or another been played. Even the strongest, toughest, and hardest of us..

Gentle hugs to you, Lynn

if you're usually the one playing ppl you probably deserve it but if you're not then just get over it! there's no specific mechanism to do it just move the hell on!
