Those doctors have parents in there all the time asking the same question--I'm sure if they were worried they would have checked him or given him something to help. They just haven't formed properly yet.

How old is your baby? If he's still very young, it is possible that the tear ducts haven't formed properly, and in time they will. But that explanation would only fly until about a month old for me. Then I'd want to know what the heck is going on. Is there a children's hospital near you? I'd get him checked out there, even if it meant sitting there for six hours. Just go prepared (food, diapers, toys,) and demand some real answers. I've never heard of such a condition, but I'm sure once you get the right doctor (one who isn't rushing you out the door), everything will work out fine, and you'll feel a hundred percent better. Good Luck!

My best friend's baby boy did this from the time he was born till 2 years old. They wanted to do surgery after that if it didn't quit on it's own. It's completely normal. My neice was the same way, but her's was because her eyelashes grew inside of her bottom eyelid and screwed up her ducts. they had to surgically cut to release them and now she's fine. She just had 2 black eyes for a week or so, poor thing.

You haven't said how old he is? It's normal for a newborn not to make tears - this starts when they're a few months old.
