Jez, Grey bcould also show off clean lines and could be considered more sophisticated by some.
White might sometimes be seen as a bit boring.

toona, i agree that with a white canvas you could choose any colours you wanted, maybe even sophisticated and subtle ones, but white does seem to be the colour that stylists are choosing for all
modern interiors now, not just houses.

OMG yes! I HATE plain white!
I am moving in to a house with all white walls, carpet, etc. It is SO BORING! 1st thing on my list of things to do is PAINT!

I wouldn't want a white house...unkid friendly. But I always think a plain white interior with stylish furniture always looks very very chic. There must be lots of texture in the room and there always has to be a bright or bold accent color to bring some excitement in for the eye.

No, in fact white is good in a modern house because it shows clean lines and people like that. It doesn't work well in a country cottage where you want cosy colours, but in a new build it's a good idea. Also allows people a blank canvas to work on if they want to.

I'd prefer it to be white. That way when you move in its like having a blank canvas and you can make your own mark on it.

Almost all new houses are painted white on the inside. They do this so you can paint it any color you want.

If you don't like that color why not do some walls in accent colors or get a lot of bright accessories and curtains.

Not if it was just on the walls because you can paint. But if it were all white yeah, I like to spill. lol :)
