After 2 years of marrage, we were interviewed and sent a letter stating an "intent to deny". We have rebutted the case and are waiting for another interview.
We have all documents necessary to prove bonofide marrage. I'ts been close to 6 years now! What should we do?

Undoubtedly you need to contact your Congressman. He or she will have a staff member that specializes in helping constituents with immigration problems. They have access to talking to USCIS officials in a way that not even a lawyer can. They can pressure the USCIS officials to reach a quicker decision or schedule an interview sooner. At a minimum, the Congressman should tell you what is going on with your case, the reason for the delay and what you can do to accelerate things.

You all do remember the TERRORISTS that caused 9/11 by bringing down the twin towers, the plane in Pennsylvania and the Pentagon were PAKISTANI? RIGHT?

In today's climate I would say it will be a miracle if he ever gets one.

It is your choice to marry someone from another country. But it is our choice to be very selective about who is allowed legal status in our country.

There are Muslim cells in our country that have to be here for years to get established. So almost any foreigner is questionable, especially a Muslim.

It just took us 6 months to get it. You do have to submit all the necessary papers and do it right the first time. Follow the instructions on the uscis website carefully. It does help if you have children together. Your child's birth certificate is enough proof. Just as long as you're honest about everything, it will be smooth.

You have waited too long. Call your local congressman, they have staff that will make phone calls on your behalf and find out where your case is 'stuck'
The only reason it is taking so long, I think, is that he is from Pkaistani and he is going through an extensive background check.
Good luck

It shouldnt take long.my sister married her husband in guatemala and hew was not a citizen and he got his already. they got married outside the country (in guatemala) and she then claimed him when she was in the U.S.A . he then moved here to the u.s.a and now he got his green card and social security. so i dont know why yours is taking so long. could be cause you got married in the states and they doing a really long background check on you and your husband.
