I need to get rid of my dual boot system, back to single...?

When I recieved my laptop, it had XP Home. A friend of mine gave me XP Pro. I installed, everything worked great. A computer geek friend of mine told me later that the Pro I recieved was a bootleg copy. So he gave me an OEM version. I installed everything works great, but now I'm stuck with a dual boot chioce screen upon startup. How do I uninstall one of the XP's? Please help...

Isn't that the same what happens when you have 2000 and XP Pro.
I want to get rid of 2000 alone, I want to preserve all my files on my hard disk itself.Please help !!
