Real men aren't afraid of being in a relationship, only selfish, spoiled boys fear a relationship.

i don't think guys are as afraid of BEING IN a relationship as they are of LOOSING a relationship...maybe he has been through a messy breakup in the past and don't want to go that again and is just staying clear of getting in a relationship for awhile..

alternatively he could be thinking if he goes the next step from friend to boyfriend and things don't work out he'll loose what you do have together (something, however small is better than nothing at all)

some do not want a serious one bc they do not want to feel like they are married and they want to go out without anserwing to someone all the time sometimes it is best bc they like to do things that they know that the girl that are with wont like so they keep the relationship simple. Some do you just got to find the right one for you.

not all men are afraid to be in a relationship. there are a lot of guys out there that want to be with someone and be commited. i think it has to do with the kind of guy you are attracted to. sometimes women arent attracted to nice guys because we arent used to being treated respectfully. i dont know if thats the case for you, but you might want to take a look at the kind of guys you end up with, how they treat you, and why you are attracted to them. i know when i met my husband, i wasnt at all attracted to him, but he was super nice. it took months of him being so nice and sweet for me to realize that it was wonderful to be treated that way and then i was able to start opening up to him, and having feelings for him which led to an attraction. good luck!

They don't want to be committed to one person! They always want to have the other option and not be tied down by a girl if he wants to go hang out with guys or hit on a hot girl!

It isn't relationhsips they fear it's loss of territory, loss of decision power, loss of control over ones life. These guys don't realize that great relationships are beautiful things, once they give up the idea of codependancy.

Loss of freedom mostly which includes the freedom to have sex with mutliple women, freedom to make his own choices in life, freedom to do anything he wants. But also fear of hurt, failure and rejection, which is actually anyone who has relationship fears.

Erm, I think I'm probably one of the few who aren't, it's usually the other way around for me, the girls are -.-! most of them out for fun and thrills, it's usually the young uns that aren't ready for one.
my 2 cents
