of course its not true. its people like you though that give the people of the US a bad name. you cant even speak the english language properly so what gives you the right to question others? if a friend or jay leno told you the earth is flat, or the moon is made of cheese, would you believe that too?

It is a stereotype. I am from England I brush my teeth 3 times a day, and I don't pick my nose.

Your use of "yalls" was a giveaway. For others, it means "you all" and if you fault southerners for saying this they get defensive. They think it's a word.
