What is in general an engines cost as percentage of a car value? Are there any available resources or studies on the internet?

i want to now approximately an industry standard of engine production cost copmared with total car cost (a general percentage that applies to any car) if there is something like that. its easy to to the division to find that percentage for a spesific car model. but i am searching for something more general. thx

Difficult question, you could take the price of car and divide it by the cost of the engine and convert it into a percentage.

I doubt there are studies or other resources available.

You may want to rephrase your question in a more specific manner.
