The ones with the least chemicals in it. Always.

Try some organic ones (health food store)Many baby shampoos, Mane and tail (originally for horses-does the job). Ivory ect.
If you have problems (dry, oily, dandruff ect)-you might need more.

Mane 'n Tail. It can be used for humans or horses. The reason I use it is because my hair was damaged from Pantene Pro V. I found out pantene had silicone in it the hard way. Since mane n tail is ok for horses it does not have all that bad stuff in it. It also makes your hair thicker and longer since your hair is not breaking off. Also, some of the KeraCare products are ph level balanced which is very good. Never heard of checking for that before? That is because most shampoo's do not tell you because the ph level is too high! Also, all the products that claim to smooth you hair after 1 use are fake. All they do is put wax in the shampoo(yes, wax pantene also has that too) to make it look like it is working while killing your hair really. Nexxus and redken are a bit more expensive but ok. If you want a recipe for shampoo just ask.

Bumble and Bumble for sure. It cost a little more than shampoo you'd buy at a grocery store. But it's light scented unlike other shampoo which contain perfumes that fry your hair! I love this shampoo, and have been using it for a long time now.

Suave. It's only around $1, but it's truly the best! Try Suave Shampoo/Conditioner together. There are a couple of good formulas.

I love Gliss kur. Well, actually the version of it that it's sold in my country: bonawell. It leves the haid healthy and bouncy, my hair used to be damaged, and now it's silky, and not heavy at all. Very natural results. I use the damage/dry hair version, the one for dyed hair sucks. It's from Schwarzkopf (I had to look at the bottle to type that)

pantene sucks. it actually contains WAX, that coats your hair, and thats why its so soft, but its actually causing buildup and nastiness.

i use Paul Mitchell awapuhi shampoo or Kiehl's Amino Acid shampoo. both are AMAZING!
