My gf just found out she had chlymidia and we've been together for about 1 year. Neither one of us has been with a person sexually for about 2 years prior to us being together. Can she still contact this from me and would I still have this to transmit?

she may have sexed someone else but if you were not treated when you last partner got it or didnt take the meds properly you still have it and it can defertilize you when i met my wife we both got all the tests and screenings at the health dept so i knew i wasnt carrying anything i was pretty hot with a girl that was promiscuous she bopped the world while stringing me along so test for everything and tell her your last round of anti-biotics didnt clear it unless you want to check her phone and then follow her around some days to see if shes having an adventure

It's possible that she could have had it for years and not know it. Plain and simple. Because chlamydia symptoms are so vague, most of the time you don't know you have it.

Now step 2. Both of you need to be treated. All you need to do is each take a 1000mg of zithromax, and give it time to clear up before having sex again.

If your last gf gave it to you and you havnt been treated Yes you can pass it on. But sometimes there are complications if not treated.
You need for both of you to get treated and for you to possibly narrow it down as a past exposure or recent.

Ok, this is treatable. So I suggest seeing a doctor to get on antibiotics and treat it. You can always have it, it will not just go away. It needs to be treated. If it is not treated, she can lose her chance at having her own babies.
Yes, you can give it to other people, and they may not know it for a long time. This is a silent STD, meaning, you can have it for a long time and never even know it. It may not show any signs/symptoms.
Just get treated, both of you.

Yes, You still have the desease unless you get treated for it. In both girls and guys it is sometimes hard to know if you have it. My ex-husband cheated on me with hookers and it was over two years after my divorce (and I wasn't with anyone else) did I find out that I had it. It took two laser surgeries for me to completely free from it. So, you both better go to your doctor and get checked out. I found out from a normal PAP. It is a very common STD.

One problem with chlamydia is that the symptoms aren't usually obvious, especially for men. I suggest that both you and your girlfriend get treated for it ASAP because the disease can lead to infertility.
