as a Muslim i must say this man is being a extremist. and Islam does not condone such speech. he should know that even women in full veil (face veil) get raped too not just the unveiled women.

i also like to point out.most of the time rape is about power and has little to do with sex.

I agree with you but sometimes the way women are dresses are extra provokative and this could make them more likely to face such an experience than modestly dressed ones.

By the way, an Imam is just a person doing his job, like any other job. Some Imams are competent and others aren't. He is no angel or prophet and we do weigh what imams say; it's not like the herd and the shepherd! Just like the fact that there are abusive priests; this does not make all priests bad.

assalam aleikum
I am muslim and hijabi, and I know that I can freely roam around without a hijab and would be taking my chances just as much as a nonmuslim. So, the question is, HOW many NONMUSLIMS are raped everyday? Statistics say one every three minutes. A muslim who is covered doesnt reveal her beauty as much, therefore, is not EYECANDY and the men dont target them as much, so when a woman uncovers, she reveals her beauty and maybe even flaunts it so she can feel liberated, and maybe that attracts the men. BUT the hijab had nothing to do with it, it was the way she attracted attention, and the wrong person happened to be looking, because sexual asault has LITTLE to do with only attraction, but the feeling of wanting to possess and have what he wants to put total control on, and he probably feels he cant achieve it through normal means, or doesnt want the hassel of taking time to try and get her by normal means... as for PAGEN REBIRTHS comments, it is not an attempt the cleric was putting negative light on MUSLIMS, he said when a MUSLIM FEMALE removes the protect garb of covering her beauty, the NONMUSLIMS attack her sexually and abuse her, you dumb@ss...

Islam is completely filled with murderers, rapists, and hordes of people who dance in the street to celebrate murder of innocents.

If this were not true then I guess all those images of airplanes hitting towers are just our imagination, just like Islam says the holocaust didn't happen, but at the same time saying they will eradicate all Christians and Jews by murder.

It is not my imagination that Islam is murdering. I see what they do.

Well, I am glad someone is posting some common sense. This is what we need to hear more of from the Muslim community.

It's nice to see a Muslim come out and condemn an Immam for their preaching. I wish there were more Muslims like you.

There goes the media again, attacking every occasional "Islamic" extremism in an attempt to shed a negative light on Islam.
